Over 35 years of medical care

About Glebe Family Medical Practice

Our medical centre was founded in 1980. The core principle of the practice is to care for the health of the local community.

Over the past 35 years we have seen a lot of changes and advances in medicine… but the core principle at Glebe Family Medical Practice have not changed.

Our primary focus is to offer great quality medical care to the patients of our practice.

Our Glebe medical practice is fully GPA accredited – we meet the rigorous RACGP standards for general practices in Australia.

Our team of GPs practice patient centred medicine – they put your needs first. You can read more about our team of doctors here

We are open 6 days a week, 7:30 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 am – 12.30 pm on Saturday. We offer a range of different appointment times to suit you. Our standard appointment times are 15 minutes. We can arrange a longer appointment time if needed.

We also offer home visits in the local area of Glebe for regular patients who are too sick to come to the medical centre. Our doctors also visit nursing homes and hostels in our community.

Our premises have been modernised and offer full disabled access to all patient areas. You’ll find children’s toys and a play table in the waiting area. There is a baby change table in the bathroom.

Your Privacy at Glebe Medical Practice

Glebe Family Medical Practice keeps your private medical details confidential.

Your patient records are computerised and are only available to the doctors, nurses and our practice manager.

Our reception staff have access to limited information such as your phone number, address and Medicare billing details.

We are now able to help you create a secure electronic health summary, which can assist with communication between your health care services, and should be particularly useful for patients with chronic health issues.

Closing the Gap

Our Glebe doctors support the Closing the Gap Indigenous Reform Agenda working to improve indigenous health: life expectancy, infant mortality and early childhood development.
