Our medical centre was founded in 1980. The core principle of the practice is to care for the health of the local community.
Over the past 35 years we have seen a lot of changes and advances in medicine… but the core principle at Glebe Family Medical Practice has not changed.
Our primary focus is to offer great quality medical care to the patients of our practice.
Our Glebe medical practice is fully QPA accredited – we meet the rigorous RACGP standards for general practices in Australia.
Our team of GPs practice patient centered medicine – they put your needs first.
We are open 6 days a week, 7:30 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday and 8.30 am – 12.30 pm on Saturday. We offer a range of different appointment times to suit you. Our standard appointment times are 15 minutes. We can arrange a longer appointment time if needed.
Glebe Family Medical Practice keeps your private medical details confidential.
Your patient records are computerised and are only available to the doctors, nurses and our practice manager.
Our reception staff have access to limited information such as your phone number, address and Medicare billing details.
We are now able to help you create a secure electronic health summary, which can assist with communication between your health care services, and should be particularly useful for patients with chronic health issues.

TELEPHONE CALLS – All doctors are available to take calls, where appropriate. A message may be taken as we try to minimise interruptions during patient consultations. In an emergency you will be put through to a doctor or nurse.
SMS – The practice confirms appointments by SMS the working day prior to your appointment for patients with a valid mobile number. We also send sms clinical reminders to your mobile
EMAILS – We are not encrypted to send or receive other information via email without patient consent.
Our Glebe doctors support the Closing the Gap on Indigenous Health Outcomes which aims to improve indigenous health: life expectancy, infant mortality and early childhood development.
If you think you might be eligible to be part of the PIP Indigenous Health Incentive here is some information you might find useful and you can download the patient consent form here
